Congresswoman Terri Sewell hosted her Annual Job Fair in the city of Selma this year.
Job hunters descended on Wallace Community College Selma — made their way through the security check point — and into Congresswoman Terri Sewell’s 15th Annual Job Fair.
Hundreds of people who were looking for work — a better job — or a career change — came out to the event.
“Bills, sometimes groceries can get a little overwhelming. And I feel like this is a great opportunity for me to get out and try to find other work that may could you know help me with that,” said Nyah Griffin.
The job fair brought over 75 employers under one roof — with job opportunities — in a dozen different industries.
“Industries such as manufacturing, transportation, law enforcement, hospitality, automobile manufacturing, it goes on and on,” Sewell said.
Sewell hosts her annual job fair in a different city within her congressional district each year.
