The Heat Is On This Week!
We have more typical summertime heat ahead this week. Temps could reach the mid to upper 90s later in the week. The dreaded heat index values will hover between 100 to 105 and that’s around the danger level. It’s going to be one of those weeks to slow down and try to take it a bit easier.
In the meantime, we expect a partly cloudy sky with temps remaining in the 80s through the evening hours. There could be a stray shower or two lingering but they should be gone before 10pm.  Overnight is looking mostly clear with temps dropping into the mid 70s for lows.
Tuesday through the latter half of the week will show very little change from day to day. There will be lots of sunshine and temps will respond. Highs will reach the mid to upper 90s but the humidity will make it feel worse. Heat indices will range between 100 to 105. This type heat can be dangerous, so we suggest you stay hydrated and limit time exposed to direct sunshine. Some relief from the heat may come in the form of an isolated shower or t-storm.
There won’t be much change in our weather over the weekend either. It’s definitely going to be hot and temps may try to head toward the triple digit mark. Rain chances may creep up just a tad and that could be a heat buster for some areas.
