$5000 reward offered in 2023 Wilcox Co. homicide

The Wilcox Co. Sheriff’s Office is reaching out to the public for help to solve a 2023 homicide.

A $5,000 reward is now being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the murder of Charles Beverley of Camden.

Wilcox Co. Sheriff Larry Colston says Beverley was found dead at his home — back in January of 2023.

“Someone came to visit Mr. Beverley at his home here at 156 Purnell Road here in Camden. And he was found murdered in his backyard,” Colston said.

Eddie Beverley is Charles Beverley’s older brother.

“Nobody know anything about it. I would like to know who did it,” said he said.

“Not knowing is kind of hard for me to deal with.”
