Montgomery Symphony Orchestra helps bring music to children in the River Region
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Montgomery Symphony Orchestra wants to help introduce music to young people while helping bring communities together.
The Montgomery Music Project helps deliver affordable, high-quality music instruction to children throughout the River Regions by uniting diverse geographic, ethnic and socio-economic communities under the umbrella of the arts.
Children in the program receive instruction from highly trained teachers in the areas of the violin, viola and cello.

The Montgomery Symphony Orchestra is also getting ready to celebrate its 50th season.
The 2026-2027 will kick off with a special event on Sunday, September 20 with a performance featuring Yo-Yo Ma.
