ACTION 8 WEATHER AUTHORITY: Extreme heat warning until 9PM

ACTION 8 WEATHER AUTHORITY (WAKA) – Most of the Action 8 viewing area is under an Extreme Heat Warning until 9PM Monday night.

Dangerous heat indices ranging between 105 and 113 are forecast.

Stay hydrated and avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the heat of the day. Wear light-weight, light colored clothing. For people without effective cooling, this level of heat can be deadly.

Extreme South Alabama is under a Heat Advisory, where conditions will be less intense. That includes Butler, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw and Wilcox counties.
