Cafeteria renovations underway at School of Discovery in Selma

From the West Alabama Newsroom–

The newly opened School of Discovery in Selma — is having meals for its student body — delivered to the school.

School officials say the cafeteria kitchen at the school is currently undergoing a complete renovation.

They say the renovations could take several weeks to complete. And they’re asking for patience from students and parents during the process.

Meals are being prepared off campus — and delivered to the campus daily — using food warmers and insulated packaging.

SOD serves 5th and 6th graders in the Selma City School District.

The school opened a week ago — at the start of the new school year.
