More Brutal Heat Ahead This Week
The dangerous heat continues and all indications are it’s going to stick around through end of the week.  Temps will reach the mid to upper 90s highs. The heat index values will hover between 103 to 110 and that’s in the danger level. We suggest you continue to slow down and take it east during this brutal heat wave.
For now, scattered showers and t-storms will linger into the evening hours. Temps will slowly fall through the 80s. It’s looking partly cloudy with temps falling into the mid 70s overnight.
All indications are we continue in the hot and humid weather pattern Tuesday through Friday. Temps will manage the mid to upper 90s for highs. Heat indices will range between 103 to 109. This range of feels like temps keeps us in the danger level throughout the week.  We expect those afternoon showers and t-storms to be around but not everyone benefits from them.
The upcoming weekend could be looking and feeling a lot different. There are signs a frontal boundary will make a run at the state and it may just move through our area. If we can get on the backside of the boundary, we could experience a little drier air for a change. This would definitely take a bite out of the heat for a few days. It’s early in the week and things can change but we’re watching this and will keep you posted.
