8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT: Frozen fruit bars recalled
8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT (WAKA) – The maker of Outshine Fruit Bars has announced a voluntary recall of some of its products.
Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc., says the recall is “due to possible foreign material contamination with glass.”

The recall affects some varieties of Outshine Fruit Bars flavors, including Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine and Black Cherry. They were packaged in boxes containing six 2.5-ounce bars.
The products were distributed nationwide. Dreyer’s said no illnesses or injuries have been reported to date.
