Second person arrested in Brundidge shooting

BRUNDIDGE, Ala. (WAKA) – Brundidge police have arrested a second person in connection to a shooting that happened on Independence Day.

Police Chief Ulane Jemison says the shooting happened around 1:00 a.m. on July 4 at the Grown Folks Cafe and Lounge on East Troy Street.

Once police arrived, they found three people with non-life threatening injuries.

42-year-old Ladaris Jackson, of Troy, was taken into custody early Wednesday morning. He is charged with Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess Pistol. His bond is set at $2500.

Earlier this month, Brundidge police also arrested 35-year-old Laquan Bryant, of Troy. He has been charged with two counts of second degree assault.
