Police investigate fatal Saturday night shooting in Selma

A murder investigation is underway in Selma after a fatal shooting in the city Saturday night.

Sgt. Beauty Benjamin says the shooting on the 1500 block of Martin Luther King Street at around 10 pm.

She says officers responded to the area and found a crashed vehicle with a 19 year old man inside.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and there have been no arrests in the case.

The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.
