14-year-old arrested for making threat that closed Perry County schools
PERRY COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Perry County Sheriff’s Office says a 14-year-old boy has been arrested and charged after making a threat that closed down Perry County schools Monday.
The sheriff’s office says the teenager is charged with making a terrorist threat.
Since the suspect is a juvenile, no other identifying information will be released at this time.
Action 8 News reported, Perry County Schools decided to close down schools after officials received a threat Sunday morning to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff.
It’s unclear what kind of threat was made.
