Man killed in Alexander City shooting
ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. (WAKA) – A man is dead after a Monday shooting in Alexander City.
Alexander City police say officers responded to the 1200 block of J Street Monday in reference to a person who’d been shot. When officers arrived, they found a man who’d been shot lying in the grass.
The victim, who has been identified as Marcus Deshawn Freeman, was taken to Russell Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
So far, no arrests have been made.
Alexander City police say no further details are available at this time.
