Ivy Creek Healthcare establishes new foundation to help with hospital needs
ELMORE COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – A healthcare organization in the River Region has established a foundation to make sure a local hospital has the resources it needs to help its patients.
At a coffee event Thursday at Elmore Community Hospital, officials discussed the newly formed Ivy Creek Foundation that will help with needs that are not in the hospital’s budget.
The hospital wants to purchase a pediatric crash cart and establish a sexual assault unit.
Both are expensive, but the board hopes to at least have the sexual assault unit operating by the spring of 2027.
The board also announced that the hospital was recently given a $2.19 million grant as part of the Alabama Rural Health Transformation Program.
