Pike Road High School band invited to Chicago’s St. Patrick’s Day parade

PIKE ROAD, Ala. (WAKA) – The Pike Road High School Patriot Band will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by performing in Chicago.

The band has been invited to perform at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which is one of the biggest events marking the holiday in the entire country.

The parade will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2027.

The St. Patrick’s Day parade in Chicago was first held in 1843. One of the most popular parts of the annual celebrating is the dyeing of the Chicago River to emerald green.
