AUBURN, Ala. (WAKA) – An Auburn man has been arrested after an attack that left a victim seriously hurt.
Auburn police have charged 20-year-old Hagan Phillips Lewis with assault in the second degree and harassment.
Police say early this morning, they were called to the 200 block of West Magnolia Avenue, which is about a block away from Toomer’s Corner. They had received a report of an assault in the back of a business.
Officers say they found a male victim lying unconscious on the ground. Police say witnesses told them that an unknown male had assaulted the victim in an unprovoked attack, then shoved a female before fleeing.
The male victim is in critical but stable condition.
