Aliceville man dies in Marengo County crash
MARENGO COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – A single-vehicle crash in Marengo County has claimed the life of an Aliceville man.
It happened around 1:25 p.m. Tuesday on Alabama 28 near the 27 mile marker, approximately 15 west of Demopolis.
Troopers say 55-year-old Eric C. Wilder was fatally injured when the tractor trailer he was driving left the roadway, hit a tree, then caught fire.
Wilder was pronounced dead on the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
