Former Alabama NIL content director pleads guilty to solicitation

SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – The former content director for Yea Alabama, the University of Alabama NIL collective, has pleaded guilty to solicitation.

Robert Aaron Suttles pleaded guilty to misdemeanor soliciting prostitution and was sentenced to a year in jail and a $200 fine, plus court costs.

His sentence will be suspended for two years and he will receive credit for time served.

As Action 8 News has reported, in July, Suttles was one of 15 men arrested on prostitution charges in Shelby County. Court records say on July 23, Suttles sought to engage in sexual activity in exchange for $100.
