Montgomery Zoo opens new $4.2 million entrance complex

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – The Montgomery Zoo has cut the ribbon to its new $4.2 million entrance complex.
The new entrance includes new offices, ticket windows, a gift shot, restrooms and a plaza. Construction has taken about a year, which meant that the zoo had to create a temporary entrance near the Mann Museum.
The 42-acre zoo is owned by the City of Montgomery.
The Montgomery Zoo is open every day from 9:30AM until 4:30PM, with last admission at 3:30PM.
Admission: Adults $19, Children (3-12 years) $15, Toddlers (2 years and under) free, and Seniors 65 years old and older $17.
