One killed, another injured in Covington County Crash

COVINGTON COUNTY, Ala. (WAKA) – One person has been killed and another injured in a two-vehicle crash in Covington County, just outside of Andalusia.

Alabama State Troopers say 72-year-old Larry Jones of Andalusia was driving a small SUV that was hit by a car driven by 66-year-old Teresa Powell of Andalusia. Jones was taken to Andalusia Health where he died.

Powell was hurt and was also taken to Andalusia Health for treatment.

The wreck happened at about 2:35PM on Friday, September 18, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 84 and Page Road, about one mile east of Andalusia.
