Dry & Milder Air Heads South Later This Week
Fall officially begins Tuesday but it’s not going to feel like it initially. There’s more summer-like heat through Wednesday but the remainder of the week is going to look and feel a bit different.  A frontal boundary moves through the area midweek and behind it will be some dry and noticeably milder air.
In the mean time, we’re expecting a mostly cloudy sky with scattered showers and t-storms tonight. Temps will drop into the lower to mid 70s for overnight lows. Tuesday will look similar to Monday with another round of showers and t-storms. Temps will continue to reach the lower to mid 90s for highs.  A few showers or t-storms will still be possible on Wednesday but as the frontal boundary moves through here, drier air will spill into the area. This will set the stage for a pattern change the remainder of the week.
The first taste of some fall-like air will move into the region Thursday into the upcoming weekend.  We will be on the backside of a frontal boundary and high pressure settles over us behind the frontal system. Mainly clear and dry conditions will setup over the state. Morning temps will start out in the lower to mid 60s while daytime high temps will hover in the mid to upper 80s.
