A Little Summer-Like Heat Through Midweek
We’re expecting a little summer-like heat to make a return to the area this week. Moisture will also be on the increase and that will help bring back the chance for showers and t-storms later in the week and upcoming weekend.
In the meantime, high pressure over the Eastern US is providing us some really nice weather conditions. You can expect a mainly clear sky with temps dropping into the mid 50s overnight. We’re back into abundant sunshine along with temps in the upper 80s Tuesday afternoon. It looks like more of the same for Wednesday with temps a tad warmer and topping out in the lower 90s.
Moisture will be on the increase as we head into the latter half of the work week. We will introduce the chance for a shower by Thursday with increasing chances for rain Friday into the upcoming weekend. Showers and t-storms are likely Friday afternoon. High temps will come down a bit due to clouds and rain activity. A frontal boundary along with increasing moisture will fuel more showers and storms over the weekend. Rainfall could be generous with 1 to 3 inch rainfall totals possible before Sunday night. Temps will continue to manage mid 80s for highs and lows in the lower 70s.
