MONTGOMERY, Ala. – A Montgomery man has been sentenced to more than 21 years in federal prison after being convicted on five federal drug trafficking charges.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Alabama says 37-year-old Arsenio Hall received the sentence following a guilty verdict at his trial last December. A jury found him guilty of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, a synthetic cannabinoid and marijuana.

After completing his prison term, Hall will serve five years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.

According to court records and evidence presented at trial, law enforcement began investigating suspected drug-trafficking activity in Montgomery County in late 2024. On December 4, 2024, investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in Montgomery.

During the search, evidence showed investigators recovered more than three kilograms of 99% pure methamphetamine, more than 200 grams of cocaine, approximately three pounds of marijuana and 349 grams of a synthetic cannabinoid from a bedroom closet. Additional evidence, including fingerprints, directly linked Hall to the seized drugs, prosecutors say.

Hall was initially arrested on state charges. In July 2025, a federal grand jury returned a four-count indictment charging him with federal drug trafficking offenses. A fifth count was added in November 2025.
