Dual enrollment fair gives Montgomery students a head start on college
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) — Montgomery Public Schools is hosting a college fair designed to help high school students learn how they can earn college credit while working toward their high school diplomas.
The Dual Enrollment College Fair will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the LAMP High School gymnasium.
The dual enrollment program gives eligible high school students the opportunity to take college-level courses and earn college credit while completing their high school education.
MPS Interim Chief Academic Officer Dr. Shaniece Williams and MPACT CTE Counselor Dr. Nisha Woody spoke with Action 8’s Estee Morrison about the program and the benefits it can provide students as they prepare for college and their future careers.
The college fair will give students and families an opportunity to learn more about dual enrollment options and eligibility requirements.
