Mild Fall Weather Conditions Ahead

We’re settling back into a mainly sunny and dry weather pattern for most of this week.  Mornings start out pleasant and afternoons warm up nicely. Our weekend could be looking a lot different.  A tropical system may bring more soaking rains into the deep south.   It’s something we will be watching closely and keeping you updated on throughout the week.

In the meantime,  the clouds linger over us with temps dropping into the mid 60s tonight.  Sunshine makes a return areawide and temps warm nicely into the lower to mid 80s Tuesday afternoon.  We will continue in a rather quiet weather pattern through the work week.  Sunny and mild conditions will be the rule.  High temps will hover around the mid 80s while overnight lows will range from the upper 50s to lower 60s.

There’s plenty of uncertainty about the gulf systems impacts to our area over the upcoming weekend.  It could become a depression or even a tropical storm but it’s to early to know for certain.  Right now, model data does show a system moving northward and into the gulf coast region.  Rain along the coast would pick up Friday and spread into the region Saturday.  A landfalling tropical system would be capable of bringing lots of rain with it.  This could have impacts on college football games Saturday.   If the system were to intensify, there’s a severe storm threat that could materialize as well.  We will be keeping an eye on it for you.
