What’s Happening: October 16-18

WHAT’S HAPPENING (WAKA) – Action 8’s Tickled Pink is just of the many events happening on what’s supposed to be a beautiful fall weekend in the River Region!

Tickled Pink runs from 9AM-2PM at the Montgomery Biscuits’ DABOS Park. For a dozen years, we’ve held this event to raise awareness and money in the fight against breast cancer. There will be around 75 vendors, music, food and more, all to help the Cancer Wellness Foundation.

It’s the final weekend for the Alabama National Fair, with rides, agriculture exhibits, food, music and a whole lot of fun.

A harvest festival will be held at Riverfront Park in Montgomery, with an early opportunity for children to trick-or-treat at participating downtown businesses.

Millbrook is hosting its 17th annual Boo Festival.

The Parade of Pumpkins starts in Prattville.

Also in Prattville, the YMCA is holding its annual Great Grits Cookoff and Festival.

And Tuskegee University welcomes the rodeo.

Get details on these events and more in the video above from Action 8’s Savanna Sabb!
