Man accused of shooting into occupied daycare center in Selma

SELMA, Ala. (WAKA) – One man is behind bars, accused of shooting into an occupied daycare center.

Selma police say officers were called to a daycare center in the 1500 block of Selma Avenue. That’s where they arrested 22-year-old J’Quell Neeley. He’s charged with firing a gun into an occupied building and firing into an unoccupied vehicle.

Police say Neeley and 21-year-old Antwone Tower were recently charged in a home invasion incident. On October 15, they say the two entered a residence in the 400 block of Martin Luther King Street while armed and stole some property.

They are charged with first degree burglary.
