Suspect arrested in Montgomery murder

Montgomery police have arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting over the weekend.

The shooting happened at 2:11 a.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of East South Boulevard.

Once officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old Kendal Foy, of Montgomery, with a gunshot wound. Foy was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to court records, police arrested 22-year-old Detrick Johnson, Jr.

Court documents say Johnson shot and killed Foy with a handgun during the course of a robbery.

Johnson is charged with murder and is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.

This is the 46th murder of 2025.
