Auburn Police Investigate Fatal Shooting
Police are investigating the shooting death of an Auburn man.
Officials say the killing happened around 9:40 p.m. Saturday near Spencer Avenue.
They say an Auburn police officer on patrol heard gunshots being fired in the area. Responding officers then found a man in the roadway on Spencer Avenue, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead.
The police identified the victim only as a 39-year-old man from Auburn.
