Georgiana School Mourning Loss of Two Students

Students In Georgiana are mourning the death of two boys who died in a house fire over the weekend.
This is the aftermath of a fire that killed 16 year old Cody, and 10 year old Kacey Messer.
It happened late saturday night in Evergreen, where the boy’s father lived.
They both attended Georgiana School, and now the schools staff, and students are grieving the loss.
School Officials provided a number of resources including counselors and church pastors.
Kasey was a fifth grader. Cody, a sophomore, who was involved in the career tech welding program, and was already making plans post graduation.Initial reports led school officials to believe the father died in that fire as well. However, they later learned he survived.
