One Dead, Two Others Injured in Shooting
The Montgomery Police Department has initiated a homicide investigation into the Wednesday night shooting death of Jermaine Barnes, 45, of Montgomery.
MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 900 block of South Union Street at about 7 p.m. Wednesday night after receiving a report of subjects shot. There, they located Barnes, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other adults, a male and a female, each sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The initial investigation indicates the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute.
No arrests have been made at this time, and no additional information is available for release in connection to this continuing investigation.
