Early Morning Assault Leads to Charges for Montgomery Man
Montgomery police arrested Johnathan Wiley, 21, on multiple charges in connection with an early morning incident Oct. 29 involving four victims. Officers charged Wiley with two counts of second-degree assault, one count of first-degree burglary, one count of second-degree criminal trespass, and one count of third-degree robbery.
MPD responded to a call in the 7300 block of Glenn Chase Court, in which the suspect assaulted an adult female in an attempt to steal her vehicle; the 500 block of Ridge Park Drive, where the suspect entered a fenced yard and assaulted a dog; the 7500 block of Pinnacle Point Drive, where the suspect entered a home and assaulted the adult female resident; and the 1000 block of Longfield Court, where an adult male was assaulted. All four incidents occurred in succession between 7 and 8 a.m..
Responding officers were able to identify Wiley, at the scene. They were able to take him into custody following a foot pursuit.
All the victim’s injuries were minor.
MPD placed Wiley in the Montgomery County Detention Facility, where he was being held under bonds totaling $58,000.
