Videos and pictures are flooding the internet with the Kylie Jenner Challenge Craze.
It’s a disturbing trend emulating the reality star’s puckered appearance.
People are posting videos of themselves creating suction with a shot glass or bottle.
Parents should be aware because health professionals say it is dangerous.
Jill Dunn, a family nurse practitioner said, “The delicate mucous membranes cannot withstand that and will rupture. and you are essentially creating a human bite and I assume it’s common knowledge that human bites are very dirty bites because of the bacteria….if that’s not enough to convince you not to do it having a big bruise on your lips for approximately three weeks ago from dark to blue black to green yellow should be enough to convince you not to do it.”
Kylie Jenner responded to the challenge saying in part that she is not trying to encourage people to look like her, but to be yourself and not be afraid to experiment with your look.
