Father Suspected of Shooting and Killing Son Near Florala
A man has been found dead of an apparent gunshot wound near Florala in Covington County.
Covington County deputies say Thursday night, they were called to a home on Country Cross Roads, where they found the man’s body. He has been identified as 18-year-old Christopher James Brito.
Deputies say Brito’s father, Christopher Francis Brito, 57, is a suspect in the case.
Right now, they don’t know the cause of the shooting. Deputies, Florala police and Florala EMS responded to the scene.
