Teen Victim Identified in Fatal Wreck on I-85 in Montgomery

Montgomery police have identified the teenager killed in a wreck Monday night on Interstate 85.

Police say 15-year-old Travin Dixon of Montgomery died at the scene. Police say at about 9:30 p.m., they and fire medics responded to a single-car crash on Interstate 85 north between Bell Road and Taylor Road. They say Dixon was a passenger in the car.

Police say the driver and two additional passengers, all male juveniles, were taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The conditions of all three have been upgraded to non-life-threatening, according to investigators.

Police say it appears the car, a Toyota Camry, left the interstate, crossed the grass and came to rest against several large trees.

Accident investigators are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
