On her last day at Alabama News Network, Chief Meteorologist Ashley McDonald knew we’d say goodbye on the air, but she didn’t know about one big surprise. On our 5:00 news, Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange stopped by to present Ashley with a framed proclamation. He declared May 20 to be “Ashley McDonald Day” in the city of Montgomery. He also declared her “Queen of the Day.” Ashley had no idea why he was in the studio or what was about to happen.
