Grant Money to Improve Sewer Systems in Dallas County

Dallas County will get $350 in grant money to help fund improvements to water and sewage systems.
Governor Robert Bentley announced the Community Block Development grants this week.
That money will go to to reline about 3,000 feet of sewer pipe along First and Second avenues in Delwood Estates.Â
The current system has deteriorated over the last 40 years, and sewage leaks are causing a health hazard for residents.Â
The county will repave the avenues after sewer rehabilitation is complete.
