MPD Makes Arrests in Deadly Holiday Weekend Shooting
Two men have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened in Southwest Montgomery over the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. 23-year-old Olando Harris and 23-year old Jezereel Petty, both of Montgomery, are each charged with one count of reckless murder. 18-year-old Rodriquez Smith was killed in the May 24 shooting in the 3800 block of E. Smiley Court. Bond for both Harris and Petty is set $150,000. Police say the investigation into case is ongoing. The shooting was one of five deadly incidents that occurred over the long holiday weekend.
