State health officials are investigating after dozens of children became sick at a day care center. They believe food poisoning may be to blame.

The Sunny Side Child Care Center has two different locations in Montgomery, one on South Court Street and one on Norman Bridge road. Yesterday, 86 children from both facilities were taken to the hospital.

Today, Alabama Department of Public Health officials took samples of food from the day care center and ordered both locations stay closed until the investigation is complete. They hope to have results from those food tests back tomorrow.

We spoke to the owner of sunny side child care center, who told us she did not want to answer any questions.

She says she has hired an attorney.
