Prattville Creative Arts Center Holds Birds of Prey Exhibit

Birds of a feather flocked to the Prattville Creative Arts Center for a special exhibit. The Montgomery Zoo, the Alabama Wildlife Foundation, and the Tennesee-based group Upstate Birds of Prey were on hand to show off raptors and other birds to kids and their families. There were also educational talk and demonstrations with the birds. Wildlife specialist also took the time to teach the kids about wildlife conservation.

“It’s good for kids to learn about our environment and learn about the animals,” said Montgomery Zoo Education Curator Jennifer Hutcheson. “It inspires them to then maybe help conserve animal and take care of the earth a little bit more.”

There was also an art exhibit and competition in the creative arts center gallery. The theme was, you guessed it, birds and nature.
