Thousands of comic book, sci-fi and fantasy fans will be flocking to southern California for the biggest so called “nerd gathering” in the world, Comic Con.
As Comic Con’s popularity has soured in recent years, so has that of local comic shops.
Local comic stories like “Quality Comix” in Montgomery have expanded as new fans walk through their doors.
While more recent comics and graphic novels like the “Walking Dead” have surged in popularity, old favorites like Superman, Batman and Spiderman still rule the comic world.
