Charges Now Filed in Montgomery Rapper’s Death
Charges are now filed in connection with the death of 32-year-old Sylvester Morris. Montgomery Police announced Thursday that 21-year-old Marquise DeShown Flynn of Montgomery is charged with one count of capital murder. Flynn turned himself in to his probation officer Thursday afternoon. He is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond. Morris, a local rapper who also went by the stagename Fathead, was shot in the 3500 block of Berkley Drive Sunday, June 28 and later died at a local hospital. According to MPD the shooting stemmed from a robbery attempt and further investigation led to Flynn being identified as a suspect.
