From the West Alabama Newsroom–  Delta Regional Authority Co-Chairman Chris Masingill visits Selma and Camden — and announces investments the agency is making in each community.

DRA announced a $150,000 dollar investment to renovate the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Selma Interpretive Center.

Masingill also toured the clinic sites of the Innovative Readiness Training medical missions underway in Selma — along with Congresswoman Terri Sewell.

“Its one of the most proud partnerships that we have at the Delta Regional Authority. We team up with the men and woman in uniform to give back to our communities,” said Masingill. “This is Americans serving Americans. They come into a community. They set up for a week at a time. They provide medical screening, dental, optical.”

“Its really great use of our tax payer dollars to use to help under-served communities get the medical attention and the medical care they need,” said Sewell.

Masingill also announced a $250,000 dollar DRA investment in Camden — to help with a sewer repair project in the city.
