Power Nearly Restored to all Montgomery Customers Affected by Strong Storm

The strong storm that blew through the Montgomery area Tuesday evening left thousands of people without power . According to Alabama Power, crews have restored power to nearly all of the customers affected by the storm. As of 8 p.m. there were only 460 outages in the Montgomery area. That’s down from the 5000 outages reported at 6 p.m. Alabama News Network Meteorologist Elissia Wilson says the storm packed winds of up 50 mph. The storm downed trees in the County Downs, Bellhurst and Cloverdale neighborhoods. There have been no reports of anyone being injured as a result of the storm.
