Police Make Arrest in Opp Shooting
The Opp Police Department has arrested one man in connection to a Sunday morning shooting that left one person injured.
Police arrested 19-year-old Deontaye Caldwell for the attempted murder of 29-year-old Charles Tyson. Tyson was found in the front yard of his apartment on Hardage Circle in Opp around 11:00am Sunday morning. Police say he had been shot multiple times. Tyson was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, then transfered to another hospital in Dothan, AL.
Deontaye Caldwell is being held in the Covington County Jail on $500,000 bond.
