Voter turnout for Tuesday’s city elections in Montgomery was nearly 32%, according to city elections officials.

Director of Elections Daniel Baxter told Alabama News Network that turnout had been forecasted to be around 27-30%, so it was slightly higher than predicted.

He reminds voters that the runoffs for the District 2, 5 and 6 council races will be October 6.
