American Red Cross Holds Holiday Mail for Heroes Event at Eastdale Mall
The American Red Cross is holding its annual Holiday Mail for Heroes program and Saturday, they were at Eastdale Mall.Â
The program allows people to send their holiday wishes and thanks to a service member who has given the ultimate sacrifice.Â

Hallmark donated the cards to the Red Cross for the event at the mall.

A spot is set up once a day for people to sign cards to send to military members in VA hospitals who don’t have family to spend time with during the holidays.
Â
They have already gathered 2,500 cards with hopes of surpassing 25,000.

If you would like to send a card, it’s not too late. You can go to RedCross.org to find the Holiday Mail for Heroes mailing address. The deadline for having cards to the P.O. Box is December 6th.
