Mainly Sunny And Less Humid Through Thursday

Sunshine returns in plentiful supply today after clouds, showers, and storms dominated most of Tuesday. A cold front cleared the state last night, and slightly cooler and drier air is in place. Temperatures today only warm into the upper 80s, and there won’t be an added heat index factor. Expect a mostly sunny sky through the day. This evening looks nice with a generally clear sky and temperatures in the low 80s around 7PM. Temperatures fall into the low 70s by 11PM. Overnight lows drop all the way into the mid 60s.

After a crisp and refreshing start to Thursday morning, temperatures warm to near 90° during the afternoon. Thursday looks like another mostly sunny day, and humidity stays on the lower end, so there won’t be much of a heat index. Thursday night lows fall back into the mid 60s. Humidity creep up a bit on Friday, and there’s a small chance for a shower or two during the afternoon, mainly across southeast Alabama. High temperatures warm to near 90°. Friday night won’t be quite as cool, with lows near 70°

Routine summer weather returns this weekend. Expect a little more humidity, which leads to isolated afternoon showers and storms each day. The weekend definitely doesn’t look like a washout; many locations could stay dry Saturday and Sunday. The heat won’t be too out of control, with highs in the low 90s.

The daily chance for showers and storms continues through the middle of next week. At this time, the chance for rain appears isolated each day, with many locations remaining dry on any given day. Afternoon highs remain near-normal, topping out in the low 90s Monday through Wednesday.
