Selma Teens Face Capital Murder and Robbery Charges

From the West Alabama Newsroom–Â Two Selma teenagers charged with capital murder and robbery — make their first appearance in court Monday.
District attorney Michael Jackson says 16 year-old John Jones and 18 year old Larry Hunter were each appointed attorneys — and both had a preliminary hearing set for January 30th.
Jackson says they shot and killed 18 year old Alexis Hunter and stole her cell phone — then chased the two girls Alexis was walking with and took their cell phones too.
“Three girls just walking down the street, they get robbed over a phone. A phone, that’s how value, value-less life is today to some people,” said Jackson.
He says both suspects are being held in the Dallas County Jail without bond.
