Autopsy Reveals Cause of Death for Montgomery Zoo Rhino
A full autopsy has been completed on Jeta, the Greater Indian Rhino that died at the Montgomery zoo and the final results indicate that she died of sand colic.
She had been a resident of the Montgomery Zoo for seven years.
Sand colic is a disease that also occurs in horses that share a similar intestinal anatomy.
