J.M. Jackson Building Torn Down

What some Opp community members call a landmark is being taken down.

The J.M. Jackson Dealership building, which has been in Opp since the early 1940s, is being torn down to make way for a new utility building. The dealership moved to another location a few years ago, and city council members say the utility board bought the building.

The Mayor says construction for the new building will begin this year.
